Did someone mention ice cream and tiramisu together?
Too much deliciousness perfectly combined in such a small sentence! (Or in the same container! Yumm!
I love desserts. And I love ice cream. And definitely, I love desserts with ice cream.
Probably you have heard or at least read about my dessert obsession. If we are talking about desserts, I love them all. But if I were to choose just one dessert to indulge in for the rest of my life, that would be tiramisu!
Now that summer has arrived, the super hot weather has made its appearance. This hotness makes baking a terrible thing to try sometimes.
It's not a warmth accompanied by a soft breeze. No, sir! More of damp and sticky weather that makes you feel sweaty and suffocated day and night.
That's how summers are here in Southern Georgia. This heat makes me remember (and long) for the summers back in Crash Boat, Puerto Rico. The heat is terrible; but the wind makes you forget -from time to time- that you're melting.
That's exactly how I feel right now while I indulge in this sweet cold treat! Tiramisu Ice Cream! I feel like I was transported to the beach. My beach towel resting on the warm sand. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore. And the smell! Salty water! My skin tanning! A BBQ grilling at the distance! And the breeze bringing the palm tree scents!
That's how freedom smells!
For this frozen version we won't be using sponge cake or Lady Fingers. We'll focus on the creamy part!
You can mix all the ingredients in a bowl or prepare it apart just like I made in the tutorial below.

What's my favorite way of preparing it?
I prefer to whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl and then folding it by hand.
Because it has a lighter and airy-er consistency. Plus, I love the "mousse-like" texture it gets once frozen.
Do I really need to add the Amaretto liquor?
No! Of course, no! As you'll see in the video tutorial, I didn't add it for 2 reasons:
I didn't have an amaretto extract on hand at the moment.
Despite having amaretto liquor, I wanted to make a super healthy version. Without liquor, sugars, low carb,...
What I love the most from this recipe?
This keto tiramisu ice cream has a lot of good things to talk about, but let's say that:
It has a wonderful flavor
Just 0.6g net carb per serving
Full of healthy fats
No refined sugars
This delicious treat will always be waiting for you in the freezer.
Easy to make
You can prepare it in individual servings to enjoy every time you want.
